Today was a holiday for the country of belgium. Not particularly sure why or what you are supposed to celebrate, but the doyle's decided to go the zoo and invited me to tag along. So I arrived at the train station on time only to get a call from steven saying that they would prolly be more like another hour, naturally I decided to find some coffee and headed down the street to a little venue called delishe?, not sure on spelling. Well it wasn’t open so I found an outdoor cafe and ordered a coffee. Needless to say it was very disappointing coffee for 2 euros. I met the doyles back at the train station and we missed the first one but was able to catch the second one. We arrived in antwerp a half hour or so later. Conveniently the zoo is located next to the station. After passing through some dance show in the town center we began our exploration of the belgian zoological park. I had mucho amounts of fun today just takin pics of andrew and natalie as they explored all the wondrous creatures. Every animal to them was just as exciting as the last. From the elephant all the way to the duck. Today I decided to try and do something different with my shooting. I opened the lens the widest it could and just had my camera at my side and tried to capture mostly kids at their level. After the zoo we went to an ice cream place for a treat, but it turned out to be the crappie of the day, because no one came to serve us so with andrew’s mood turned from cranky to pleasant with tick of a clock we headed back to the train station. Upon our journey back we discovered a small pizza place and decided to take a load off while enjoying some delicious pizza. Andrew was happy that he was allowed to have ice cream before pizza but quickly learned that age old lesson that you can’t eat ice cream tooooo fast. So with andrew screaming for his sippy Laura proceeded to explain to him why exactly it is that you get brain freezes. After pizza we headed back to brussels. This train had a few more stops one in which I was explained to that this was the business district, which was the stop, was next to the red light disctrict. MMMMMM wonder why that is???????? We parted ways after the train station. When I got to Marco's I took a small nap then decided to hit the brussels skate park which has a nice lil double bowl and a few ledges and a bank to skate. I’ll put up pics of that later for those sshsskaters who are checkin this. I wanna do something there for kamikazee kinds there one day but I just don’t know what? Well today was fun but tiring. Check the pics. Leave some feed back because I never think my stuff is any good. Im only putting up a few in comparison to the thousand plus pics I took. HA
